Comment:
The Bowron Lakes Circuit, consists of 9 lakes and numerous waterways, which are rectangular in shape, i.e. you paddle a circuit.
The circuit is approx. 116 km in length, with small rivers connecting most lakes. There are also 6 portages between some lakes. They range in length from .4 km to 2.8 km.
Rugged mountains, averaging 2100 meters, form a scenic backdrop. There are designated camping spots, which offer bear-proof caches for all food. People who wish to do this trip should be in fairly good physical condition and have some experience in canoeing. You should reckon 7-8 days for the Bowron Lakes trip.
If you are a beginner there are other trips, which can be arranged. They would be less challenging and of shorter duration, if so desired.
Note: An exclusive canoe trip package to the Bowron Lakes, (approx. 10 days), can also be arranged.
Package tours are all-inclusive, (meals, fees, taxes, transfers etc.)
Besides the 2 packages suggested here, we can customize a tour to your liking, i.e. more sightseeing trips, whitewater rafting, day trips in canoes or kayaks, hiking etc. |
